The Simpson Dunlap Estate, erected in 1896, has been relisted at $2,100,000, down from its original asking price of $2,250,000.
Designed by E.E. Roberts, the Queen Anne style home features six bedrooms, four full baths, two half baths, and is nestled in the heart of the Frank Lloyd Wright Historic District. The estate features a wrap-around porch, hardwood floors throughout, clerestory windows, and an expanded chef’s kitchen with banquet seating which is ideal for entertaining.
The mansion originally hit the market in February with its $2,250,000 price tag. Coldwell Banker owns the listing and decreased the asking price by $150,000 following months of minor activity.
In addition to its many Victorian characteristics, the home has received several upgrades over the years including a basement bowling alley, dedicated wine room, and an unfinished, cathedral-like attic space, according to an article from Curbed.
The Simpson Dunlap Estate is located at 417 North Kenilworth Avenue, Oak Park. Coldwell Banker has the property listing available to view on Estately.
