It’s that time of year again when many Oak Parkers will be fasting for Lent. This year, Lent started on Feb. 10 and will last for six weeks, ending  on March 24 for Easter. Lent is not only a time for prayer for many but also a time a to fast spiritually and physically. For those who celebrate Lent who are not vegetarians, they get to try it out once a week. In other words, there is no eating red meat on Fridays (seafood, however, is allowed).

Knowing that fasting and scoping out Lent friendly meal options will be on the minds of many, we have put together a list of 20 restaurants in Oak Park that offer Lent friendly (vegetarian and pescatarian) food options.  Click the name of the restaurants below to find out more information, menu information, and hours.

If you know of any other Oak Park restaurants that offer Lent friendly food options that are not listed above, please leave us a comment below!

  1. I believe that Szechwan Bejing has closed and is now the new Connolly’s. I like to get veggie burritos from Boss Burrito during lent.
