CycleBar, an indoor cycling studio with over 300 national franchises and seven in the Chicagoland area alone, has opened its newest location at 7513 W. Lake St. in River Forest.
Owners Mike and Jackie Benson from Oak Park held a grand opening on Monday, Nov. 28 and shared their sentiments as to why OPRF is the perfect location for a business like CycleBar.
“River Forest and Oak Park are such welcoming communities, with an increasingly high demand for fitness options,” said the Bensons. “There is really nothing like it, and for those who have not experienced CycleBar, they are in for a phenomenal experience!”
According to a press release from Jenny Shepherd Public Relations, CycleBar offers concierge-level service, premium amenities and a low-impact/high intensity cycling experience for all ages and body types. Furthermore, payment is based on a per-class system as opposed to a monthly or annual membership.
Classes at the CycleBar are more commonly referred to as “rides,” which are led by instructors that are equal parts DJ, educator, drill sergeant, motivator and friend, which is essential to the CycleBar philosophy- not your typical spin class. Each “ride” at CycleBar features continuously changing playlists, customized lighting, and innovative routines designed to keep workouts fresh.
