The Park District of Oak Park is hosting a tactical laser tag event sponsored by Chicago-based Extreme Combat Laser Tag on Friday, May 20 from 7:45-10 p.m. at Longfellow Park, 610 S. Ridgeland Center.
Whereas traditional laser tag places its focus on arcade-style scoring to see who got the most points, tactical laser tag has a strategic focus, exposing players to different types of scenarios so teammates have to work together to defeat their opponent. “It’s like being in your very own Call of Duty Game,” according to the Park District of Oak Park.
This event is catered to teens aged 10 to 17 years. Registration is $34 which includes a tactical laser gun, military vest and access to the Longfellow Park laser tag grounds. Parents may sign their child(ren) up by visiting PDOP.org.
