Rep. Camille Lilly, D-Chicago, recently sat down with Oak Park residents at George’s Family Restaurant to discuss important issues at both the local and state level.
“It really is a pleasure having the chance to meet people at local cafés and businesses, because these places offer a more relaxed setting to discuss any topic,” Lilly said.
For the last two months, the Chicago Democrat has been meeting residents and providing them with updates on the budget impasse and new legislations from Springfield. She has been also receiving their feedback on the state and local issues, in which they are interested.
“We are still without a budget, and I heard a lot of frustration at George’s about the governor’s refusal to compromise,” patch.com quoted Lilly. “I share that frustration with them and I promised to protect those essential services that many families rely on.”
Camille Lilly is a representative of the 78th District, that consists of Chicago, Franklin Park, Melrose Park, Elmwood Park, Oak Park and River Grove. To contact Lilly, please call 773-473-7300 or email at StateRepCamilleYLilly@gmail.com.
