Deshawn Isabelle, 15-years-old of Chicago, will be charged as an adult with one felony count of aggravated criminal sexual assault and one count of felony robbery in connection to a crime that took place on the CTA Blue Line near the Oak Park stop Monday afternoon, according to the Cook County state’s attorney office.
Isabelle, accompanied by a guardian, turned himself into the authorities Wednesday morning at roughly 9:30 a.m. after seeing his picture circulating around several media platforms, according to Police.
The suspect was the only passenger aboard the train when a 41-year-old woman entered near the Oak Park stop. Shortly thereafter, the suspect approached her from the rear and began to sexually assault her and rob her of an iPhone and cash, according to reports.
Isabelle is expected to appear in bond court Thursday morning.
