Halloween is exactly one day away – do you have plans yet? No fear, there will be plenty to choose from, as Oak Park bars will be bustling on Friday, October 31.
Start your night with sophistication at Marion Street Cheese Market, 100 S. Marion St., where you can participate in a free costume contest from 5-7 p.m. Help yourself to treats, taste wine and listen to live music by the Aaron Day Band. All ages are welcome, so drop the kids at home before you make the next couple of stops.
When you’ve been appropriately sated with fine cheeses from Marion Street, head over to Maya del Sol at 144 S. Oak Park Ave. for their costume party from 9 p.m. to midnight. They will have drink specials, live music and prizes for top costumes, so get creative. Reservations via OpenTable are recommended.
If your evening is quickly turning into an all-night affair, walk over to Healy’s Westisde at 7321 W. Madison St. in Forest Park for their Halloween Party. The DJ goes on at 10 p.m. and the Redd’s girls will be giving out free swag all night. Specials are $4.50 bottles of Redd’s and Redd’s Strawberry. Proceed to dance the night away and retire your costume until next year.
