The 7-Eleven located at 515 Madison St., Oak Park, was robbed at gunpoint during the early morning hours of Oct. 6, according to the Oak Park Police Department.
Two perpetrators entered the convenience store at 1:27 a.m. At least one of the suspects had a gun and demanded the attendee to give money from the register and cigarettes. The two left with cash and a few packs of Newport cigarettes worth a total of $452.70, according to police.
Det. Sgt. Michael Lepczynski said that this crime is currently under the early stages of the investigation. The first suspect is described as a 30-year-old black male with a heavy build who was wearing a black sweatshirt and black sweatpants. The second suspect is described as a 30-year-old black male with a thin build wearing a gray sweatshirt and black jeans with designs on the pockets.
