The three newest members of the OPRF High School District 200 School Board were elected on Tuesday. The Cook County Clerk’s Office reported that Sara Dixon Spivy, Frederick Arkin and Jennifer Cassell will join the board after 45 out of 46 precincts were tallied late Tuesday night, the Pioneer Press reports.
“Dixon Spivy received 4,452 votes, Arkin received 4,158 votes, and Cassell received 3,932 votes,” according to the Pioneer Press. Each of the three will serve four-year terms.
The next highest vote-getter after Cassell was Sharon Patchak-Layman, who previously served two terms on the District 200 board, according to the Pioneer Press.
“I had a lot of support in the community, and we just didn’t have enough to make it happen again,” said Patchak-Layman. “I’m honored to have served the community for 16 years.”
