A black 1999 Mercedes-Benz E-430 was stolen from a residential garage on the 1000 block of North Humphrey Avenue in Oak Park, according to police reports.
The victim told police that the thief may have stolen the car by using a key that was stored in the driver’s side visor. The vehicle was taken at some point between 7 p.m. Saturday and 7:30 a.m. Sunday, when the victim contacted police.
It is unknown at this time how the thief gained access to the victim’s garage or had prior knowledge about the location of the key within the vehicle.
