Expressions Graphics will highlight printmaking and papermaking this month with workshops such as “Printing from Nature” and “Collagraph & Relief” which will run on March 13. “Mixed Collagraphic Printmaking” will be held March 20 and March 27, open to anyone 13-years-old and above. Gallery PINK’s current show “Event Horizon” by Artist it in Residence Jamie Cooper is on display until March 15. For more details regarding the exhibit, read the full story here. The next show at the gallery is called “Progressive Maneuvers” by artist Susan Frankel. INTUIT’S annual scholarship fundraiser “Choreo/Graph” will take place on Saturday, March 14. The 7:30 p.m. performance is sold out, but tickets are still available for the afternoon performances:
1:30 pm – $10 “Afternoon Dance Slam.”
3:30 pm – $10 INTUIT Dance! “Teen Performance Company’s” original choreography.

Eastgate Café will host festive evenings in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. The music of Chris McIntosh and Alvin McGovern will delight patrons as corned beef and cabbage will be served with green beer on Sunday, March 15 from 5-8 p.m. Eastgate is located at 102 Harrison Street in Oak Park. Theater

Open Door Theater is featuring the family favorite “Frog and Toad” until March 29.  Furthermore, “Women in Jazz II” will show on Saturday evenings all month long and features the Juli Wood Trio, Margaret Murphy, the artists of NEEMA, and Caroline Davis’ Whirlpool. Lastly, the Improv Heroes will perform on Friday nights. The theater is located at 902 S. Ridgeland Avenue in Oak Park. Pamela Penney Textile Arts will feature the “After School Open Sewing Studio” for children ages 7 and above on Mondays in March from 4-5:30 p.m. The cost is $18 per class and you can find out more information here.

March 30 to April 3 – Pamela Penney Textile Arts and Karen Light of Creative Courage will offer a week of learning and creative art-making using a variety of materials and mixed media techniques. “Animal Antics: Springing Out of Hibernation” is open for children ages 7 to 11 years.
