After 11 years serving as OPRF High School Principal, Nate Rouse announced his resignation effective June 30, 2019. In an e-mail, Rouse stated “I’ve accepted an exciting school program director position to begin the next phase of my educational career, I want to focus on the national conversation regarding systemic change in American education through the lens of racial equity.” Rouse will continue his doctoral studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
In a press release, Superintendent Dr. Joylynn Pruitt-Adams said
“I want to thank Nate for his leadership during his 11 years as principal, we will miss him but are excited for him and wish him the best in his future endeavors.”
The press release also stated that an administrative restructuring will be discussed at this week’s Board meeting on Thursday, March 21, at 7:30 p.m.
