If you traveled down Lake Street between Marion and Forest recently, you might have noticed tents, a stage, and several people buzzing around the area. It’s not because Downtown OP felt like it needed a permanent makeover, just a temporary one. That’s right; it’s Oaktoberfest in Oak Park. This event signifies that autumn is officially here so like it or not, this is a chance to enjoy some live music, craft beer, and food from local vendors. Prost!
One of the year’s biggest festivals takes place Friday from 4:30-10 p.m. and Saturday from noon-10 p.m. You will have the opportunity to enjoy craft beer, wine, and food from local vendors. Music headliners include Holly Williams and Uncle Lucius. Finally, there will be a Root Beer Garden for the kids to take part in organized activities and games. Admission is free to enter the festival grounds. For more information, click here.
