The leaves might not be crunching beneath our feet just yet but these shorter days and crisp mornings are a nice opening act to the upcoming fall splendor around town. This time after the fall equinox was historically a time of reflection, to express gratitude for the harvest and take moments to celebrate nature. Uncorked at the Oak Park Conservatory
The final Uncorked of the 2018 season will take place this Friday. Enjoy music by Szurko Trio, wine and craft beer by Two Brothers Social Tap, appetizers from Q-BBQ and artisanal merchandise by Little Buddha. Admission includes two drink tickets and one food token. Advance tickets $15 / at the door tickets $18 Must be 21 or over.

Family Mystery at the Mansion
Elizabeth Cheney’s jewels have been stolen! Spend the afternoon at the Cheney Mansion and help solve the mystery put on by The Murder Mystery Company. Hemingway District Fall Side Walk Sale is taking place this weekend with shops in the District featuring their fall sale items.
Explore Art Exhibit at the Oak Park Public Library
Saturday is the final day to view Susan Elster Jones’ exhibit titled “Pieces Lead to Peace.” Her exhibit features a modern display of pieced quilts along with mixed media pieces which inspire them. Susan has exhibited with the Salt Creek Quilter Guild in 2016 and 2018.
