Two instances of battery have been reported near the Oaktoberfest grounds over the weekend.
On Friday, a River Forest resident told police an offender was blocking an exit ramp on the 1100 block of North Blvd. When the victim attempted to pass by, the offender began yelling obscenities and struck the victim in the face several times causing minor injuries to the nose and forehead, according to the police report.
The offender is described as a 30-year-old male with black hair and a thin build. He was wearing a blue baseball cap, dark jacket, and jeans at the time of the incident, according to police.
On Saturday, an Oak Park resident told police an offender forced the victim to sit down on a bench located on the 100 block of N. Marion. Police say the offender believed the victim spit on his shoes which motivated him to place his hands on the victim. The offender was last seen going eastbound on Lake St, according to police.
The offender is described as between 30-35 years old with long blonde hair and a thin build. He was wearing blue jeans and white Adidas shoes at the time of the incident, according to police.
