State Rep. Camille Lilly of the 78th district and Sen. Don Harmon of the 39th district will co-host a Veterans Resource Fair to connect former and current military personnel with potential employers. The workshop will take place on Wednesday, June 15 from 6-8p.m. at the Oak Park Public Library, 834 Lake Street.
“Many of our veterans may not know of the existing resources available to them that they deserve and should be connected with,” said Lilly. “Connecting veterans with these critical resources is the focus of this event. With the help of unions, colleges, and additional venues, there should be a lot to offer any veteran in need.”
The Veterans Resource Fair is free and open to the public. Rep. Lilly and Sen. Harmon are spearheading this event in the hopes of decreasing the unemployment rate amongst military veterans and providing additional resources for the vets including housing, health care, and education.
