The Winifred Haun & Dancers have announced two shows of the acclaimed ballet “Promise.” The performances will take place at Pleasant Home in Oak Park on Saturday, Oct. 17 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 18 at 4:30 p.m.
“Promise” focuses on the women, images and psychological themes found in John Steinbeck’s 1952 novel, “East of Eden.” The Company was invited to present the ballet at Pleasant Home after its highly successful production at Ruth Page Center in March 2015, according to an official announcement from winifredhaun.org.
General tickets are $29, which include drinks and light fare in addition to the ballet. VIP tickets are $39, which include wine and a tour of Pleasant Home prior to the performance. Either choice can be purchased by following this link on Brown Paper Tickets: http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/1559699.
Pleasant Home is located at 217 S. Home Avenue, relatively close to the Harlem Green Line station and Oak Park UP-W Metra station. For more information on Winifred Haun & Dancers, visit http://www.winifredhaun.org/.
