8 questioned after SWAT team standoff in Oak Park


Police brought in eight individuals for questioning following a standoff that took place Sunday morning in an Oak Park home on South Taylor Avenue near Roosevelt Road.

Officers arrived at the Taylor Avenue home around 5:30 a.m. Sunday after responding to calls of shots fired. After four hours, the Cook County Sherrif SWAT Team was called to enter the home and forcibly remove occupants from inside the house, according to reports.

Seven people inside the house surrendered without incident. An eighth individual was later arrested and brought in for questioning in connection to the shooting.
