Attempted bank robbery in Oak Park

The FBI is currently searching for a man who attempted to rob the US Bank in Oak Park, located at 835 W. Lake St. The incident occurred at roughly 11:38 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 24, according to the OPRF Patch.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male with brown hair and brown eyes, standing between 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall with facial hair. He was wearing a green and black camouflage shirt at the time of the incident, according to BanditTrackerChicago, a FBI-run website.

He did not show a weapon and the incident is being described as a “non-takeover” robbery, meaning there was no use of force towards bank customers or employees, according to the OPRF Patch.
