Man arrested for attempted murder
An Oak Park resident was victimized at the hands of Nicholas Adam Polletta, a 25-year-old male from the 2600 block of N. Marshfield in Chicago. Polletta has been charged with two counts of aggravated battery and attempted murder, according to Police. The offense happened at roughly 1:45 a.m. on Sunday, April 12 near the 300 block of Chicago in Oak Park.

Car thief makes off with a Chrysler Town & Country
A 2006 silver Chrysler Town & Country was stolen near the 900 block of S. Maple on Wednesday, April 15. The vehicle was parked on the street and when the victim attempted to find the car, it was gone… Away from the town and into the country, possibly.

Juvenile steals green bike and gets caught with green substance
An Oak Park juvenile was caught with marijuana after he was found on a women’s green Trek bike that was reported stolen on Saturday, April 11. The juvenile was arrested, processed and eventually released to his mother, according to Police.

Child abduction offender reprimanded
Petar Markovic, 59-years-old of the 400 block of S. Maple in Oak Park, was arrested for child abduction of an Oak Park juvenile girl. The offense took place during the evening hours of Friday, April 10, according to Police.

Bicycle goes missing on Van Buren
An unknown offender removed a bicycle from a bike rack on the 600 block of Van Buren on Wednesday, April 15. The silver Novara Larch bike was valued at roughly $550, according to Police.
