Halloween Decor: Wood Sign Designs
Saturday, October 6, 7:00-10:00 PM
Enjoy some wine and Halloween crafting at the Austin Gardens. All skill levels are welcome, however, you do need to be 21+ to participate. Supplies and planning are provided by the Park District.
Haunted House Trip & Pumpkin Carving
Friday, October 12, 6:30 – 10:00 PM
Join other teens on a trip to the Scream Scene Haunted House in Skokie, IL. Scare yourself silly in the haunted house. Warning: I hear clowns are involved, so you might want to wait to watch “It” after you visit the insane clown maze. Pumpkin carving will also be a part of this event geared towards ages 10-14.
Spooky Stroll
Saturday, October 13, 7:30 – 9:00 PM
Take a spooky stroll through the Austin Gardens. Costumes are encouraged! After your walk through the gardens make sure to get your face painted, carve a pumpkin, or listen to the ghost stories being told around the fire. A magic show will be closing out the spooky night. The stroll is family friendly and children under 2 are free!
Fright at Night
Friday, October 19
The Oak Park Conservatory is hosting their annual Fright at Night full of tricks and treats. The Bootanical Forbidden Forest will be full of creatures! All ages are welcome to this event. Tickets are $5 when purchased in advance and $7 when purchased at the door. The Conservatory recommends purchasing ahead of time as tickets go quickly!
Halloween Scavenger Hunt
Friday, October 19, 7:30 – 9:30 PM
Search for the answers to spooky clues and puzzles all over Fox Park. Each player will be provided with a flashlight to help them find what they seek. Prizes and candy will be awarded! Ages 11-14
Haunted Trolley
Friday, October 26, 6:00 – 10:30 PM
Join the Murder Mystery Co for a night set back in the roaring twenties. There will be appetizers at the conservatory, dinner at Cheney Mansion, and a speakeasy in the Austin Gardens. Costumes are encouraged for this event!
Downhill Pumpkin Bowling
Saturday, October 27, 2:00 – 4:00 PM
Compete for prizes and bragging rights! Participants will be bowling with pumpkins down the Barrie sledding hill. It’s a fall classic in Oak Park and fun for all ages.
Trick or Treat around Oak Park
October 31, 3:00 – 7:00 PM
Don your best costumes and get your candy bowls ready for trick or treating around the village on Halloween night! Parents are encouraged to accompany children, particularly after dark. Make sure to wear light clothing or wear reflective tape to keep everyone safe!
