Children’s Urgent Care, an independently owned pediatric urgent care located in River Forest and Skokie, has announced that they will soon be offering Telemedicine Virtual Visits to all of their patients. Virtual doctor visits have picked up in popularity over the last few years, allowing more people to receive quality healthcare from home or on the go.
Kevin Broz, Children’s Urgent Care’s Chief Operating Officer and Partner, shared his excitement over the new service: “Adding telemedicine/virtual visits for kids was the natural next step of the process for us…It’s the same great care we’ve always provided in our brick and mortar locations, except now we can provide it in the convenience of these patients’ homes. So, we’re excited about it, and I think once our patients experience it they will be excited as well.” Patients from ages 0-21 can be seen both in person and through virtual visits with the urgent care. The virtual visits will utilize two-way video conferencing to allow the patient and doctor to connect, despite not being in the same building.
The Children’s Urgent Care has been open since September of 2017. The new Telemedicine Virtual Visits will being on February 1st of this year. Just in time for all of those late winter colds!
