Construction to close sections of Ridgeland Avenue

Motorists who frequently use Ridgeland Avenue between Division Street and South Boulevard may want to start thinking about a new route for much of the spring and summer – and maybe even into fall. Sewer work will begin next week, requiring closing Ridgeland from Lake Street to Chicago Avenue. Work is scheduled to move north in June, requiring closure from Chicago Avenue to Division Street through August. Street paving will follow the sewer improvement project. Click here to read more…

Ask for identification – or call 911

Should an individual come to your home claiming to be a representative of a public utility or the Village, be sure to ask for identification. All Village employees, including property inspectors, as well as employees of all public utilities, carry official identification and display it. If you have doubt about the identity of an individual knocking on your door, call 911 immediately so Police can investigate while the person is still nearby.
