Cornerstone Oak Park, a member of the Anglican Churches of North America, was burglarized late Monday night or early Tuesday morning, according to the Oak Park Police Department.
Several electronics valued at over $2,500 were stolen from the church including four laptops, three iPads, and an iPhone 6 Plus.
It is believed that the church was vacant from 4:33 p.m. Monday until 5:42 a.m. Tuesday morning. Police are unaware if it was individual or a group of people who are responsible for the burglary, but know the crime was committed during this timeframe.
Cornerstone is led by pastors William and Anne Beasley who have been ministers for over 30 years. The church claims to be a “Gospel-centered, Spirit-filled, sacramental presence in the heart of Oak Park.” It sits at 171 N. Cuyler Avenue near the intersection of Cuyler and Ontario.
Anyone with more information about the identity of the person, or group of people, responsible for the burglary is encouraged to reach out to the Oak Park Police Department to assist them with the investigation.
