Estate independent administrator Regina M. Little is suing Paramount of Oak Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center LLC. for the death of her relative, Patricia Little, according to Cook County Record.

The lawsuit is for alleged negligence and failing to provide adequate assistance and supervision in giving care which caused her relative’s death. According to Cook County Record, the suit will target Paramount of Oak Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center LLC., nurse Katie Nega, Dr. Vaughn Tatum, West Chicago Physicians Associates LTD, General Medicine PC, and Dr. Hema Azad.

According to the complaint that was documented between Oct. 5, 2013, and Feb. 19, 2014, Patricia Little suffered and complained of pain to her back, bottom and right leg, then developed multiple pressure ulcers that caused her death on March 16, 2014.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to assess, measure and monitor Patricia Little’s condition to prevent the development and worsening of pressure ulcers, according to Cook Country Record.

Regina M. Little seeks a trial by jury, more than $50,000, plus the additional costs of the lawsuit. Little is represented by attorney Marion A. Morawicz of Chicago.
