The First Tuesday Film Club will show the documentary, “Angel Azul,” on Tuesday, March 3 at noon and 7 p.m. at Lake Theatre, according to a press release from Falk Associates.

“Tickets are $6 per person for matinee/seniors and $8.50 for adults in the evening,” according to the press release. “Advance tickets are available online or at the Lake Theatre box office, 1022 Lake Street in downtown Oak Park.  A panel discussion with Q&A will follow each presentation.”

The documentary, narrated by Peter Coyote, explores the artistic journey of Jason deCaires Taylor, an innovative artist who combines creativity with an important environmental solution: the creation of artificial coral reefs from statues he’s cast from live models. “When algae overtakes the reefs however, experts provide the facts about the perilous situation coral reefs face and solutions necessary to save them,” according to the press release.
