The Oak Park Concert Chorale

The Oak Park Concert Chorale is hosting a free vocal technique workshop on October 27th at the St. John Lutheran Church in Forest Park. Led by the chorale’s director, Paul Lindbland, workshop participants will learn all of the important basics of singing including resonation, articulation, posture, breathing, and more. Beginners are welcome as well as experienced singers who are looking for a refresher on the foundations of singing.

Oak Park Concert Chorale is a non-profit organization located in Oak Park and is proud to be a diverse group of individuals from the area.  They are partially sponsored by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council Agency and the Oak Park Area Arts Council with the Village of Oak Park, and the Illinois Arts Council Agency through funds provided by the National Endowment for the Arts. The group performs in and around Oak Park and performs both a cappella and accompanied numbers.

Reservations are required in order to participate in the vocal technique workshop later this month. The workshop is free and the chorale will be providing drinks, snacks, and desserts. However, they do ask that you bring your own lunch with you. The workshop runs from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm on October 27. Reservations can be made by calling 847-420-9200, or by sending an email to info@oakparkconcertchorale.org.
