Alexander Kusner, 29-years-old of Chicago, has been charged with sexual abuse and possessing pornographic photographs of a 16-year-old Oak Park teeanger. The two parties met through an online dating app and communicated for several months, according to the Oak Park Police Department.

“Between Jan. 1 and April 12, the offender and the juvenile began to communicate via the Tinder app,” Oak Park Police Commander LaDon Reynolds said. “On the victim’s Tinder profile, she was listed as being 16 years old. The offender listed himself as 17 years old.”

Police say that in the three and half months the pair have been in contact, the girl visited Kusner at his apartment a total of three times. “During those meetings, the offender engaged the victim in sexual activity and took still and video images of the victim,” Reynolds said. “He then transmitted them electronically to the victim.”

Kusner was arrested on Wednesday (May 25) morning by Oak Park police. He is being charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse and possession of child pornography, according to Reynolds.
