A 21-year-old man was shot in the leg at roughly 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 27. The victim was sitting as a passenger in a vehicle that was traveling westbound on the exit ramp of the Eisenhower Expressway (I-290) in Oak Park near Harlem, according to police.
The victim’s injuries were not life-threatening, according to police, but those details were unclear at the time of the incident. Further investigation revealed that the driver of a dark colored vehicle pulled alongside the victim’s car and fired shots, according to police.
The driver transported the victim to the West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park and dropped him off. There are no more details available at this time.
