On Feb. 16, the Oak Park-River Forest Community Foundation will honor “Excellence in Philanthropy Award” winners at the Grand Ballroom of the Carleton Hotel at 1110 Pleasant St. The reception begins at 5:30 p.m., the program begins at approximately 6:15 p.m.
These awards will honor individuals and groups who have demonstrated significant philanthropic impact in the OPRF community. The winners are: Carollina Song – Outstanding Individual Philanthropist, The Buzz Café – Outstanding Philanthropic Group, and Aidan Bertocchini – Outstanding Young Philanthropist.
Each award provides a $1000 grant to the recipient’s nonprofit organization of choice. Carollina Song’s grant will go to The Collaboration for Early Childhood, the Buzz Café’s award will provide a grant to Housing Forward, and Aidan Bertocchini’s grant award will go to the Oak Park-River Forest Food Pantry. This year, OPRFCF is also adding “The Community Foundation President’s Award”. The winner will be announced at the Feb. 16 event, as well.
This event is free and open to the public, though reservations are required. All who are interested in celebrating great philanthropic achievements by well deserving individuals are encouraged to attend.
