Police investigate reports of man suspected of public indecency

Oak Park police are searching for a man who reportedly exposed himself to an 11-year-old girl near Barrie Park on the Village’s southeast side May 15.

Police said the girl was jogging at 6:40 p.m. at 1011 S. Lombard Ave., when a man exposed himself to her while standing in the backyard of a home in the 1100 block of South Harvey Avenue. The man did not say a word or approach, but stared directly at her, the victim told police.

The man was described as white, about 40 to 45 years old, medium build with short, blonde hair. He was last seen wearing a red t-shirt and blue jeans. The description of the man is similar to a report of public indecency on Feb. 22  which occurred on the southern side of the Eisenhower Expressway. Police are still attempting to locate the man.
