Juvenile commits credit card fraud at Walgreens
A young female from Brooklyn, NY was turned over to her caregiver after attempting to use a counterfeited credit card at the Walgreens on the 6400 block of Roosevelt on Saturday, Feb. 14.

Man makes a false promise to pay taxi driver
A 25-year-old man told his cab driver that he would get back into the vehicle to pay his fare on the 1000 block of Erie on Friday, Feb. 13. However, the man wearing gray sweat pants and a black/silver Converse jacket never returned to pay for the services.

Armed robbery on South Euclid Avenue
Two offenders demanded a victim to empty his/her pockets and hand over his/her possessions on the 1100 block of S. Euclid the night of Friday, Feb. 13. The first offender was described as 6’0” tall, medium weight, wearing a black doo-rag, puffy black jacket, sporting a dreadlock hairstyle and holding a semi-automatic handgun. The second offender was described as 5’6” inches tall, medium weight, wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, white shoes, and sporting a short black hairstyle. The suspects were last seen on foot headed east on Fillmore.

Juvenile DUI arrest on North Austin Boulevard
A young male is being held for bond hearings after getting stopped for a traffic violation on the 400 block of N. Austin the night of Friday, Feb. 13. Further investigation found a strong odor of cannabis emanating from the offender’s vehicle, no valid driver’s license on file for the driver, and two counts of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs.

Car’s side mirror receives a makeover
A 2009 Kia parked on the 1100 block of Paulina was defaced by an unknown offender(s) the night of Sunday, Feb. 15. The glass on the car’s driver side mirror was removed and the piece underneath the mirror was also missing. Police are not aware of how the offender(s) removed the pieces from the car.

 

All data has been compiled from the Oak Park and River Forest police departments. Anyone named in this report has been charged with a crime(s) but cases are still pending.
